Worship Commission

Mission Statement

The Worship Commission of Holy Family parish fosters and guides all parish liturgical and devotional celebrations, encouraging the participants of these celebrations to carry God’s word into their daily lives. The goal of the commission is to develop in all who worship with us, a closer relationship to God through meaningful and prayerful liturgies.

Vision Statement

The vision the Worship Commission has for Holy Family is for the full and active participation in the liturgies of all its people in order to transform them into the body of Christ as they journey to the kingdom, always giving fitting praise to God.

Meetings

The Worship Commission meets the first Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., September through June, in the church.

The purpose of the Worship Commission is to foster and guide all parish liturgical and devotional celebrations to help our parishioners build a closer relationship with God. At our meetings we discuss all special upcoming liturgies, and make sure all participating volunteers are aware of their particular role in each liturgy. We also review liturgies, noting how things can be improved.

Ideally we would like to have each area of the liturgy represented, including Mass Captains, Eucharistic ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Servers, Choir/Music members, Arts & Environment, as well as the Holy Family School, and of course our parishioners! Your involvement as a commission member is simply the once a month commission meeting.

Each liturgy is a collaborative effort, involving many volunteers, some who are seen, some whose efforts are behind the scenes. As a Worship Commission member you will not only gain a deeper appreciation for each liturgy, but you will also have a voice to share your own opinions of how things are done.
