Youth Commission

Mission Statement

As the Youth Commission, we want to empower young people to live as disciples of Christ in our world today, drawing them to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each individual.

Vision Statement

To support and encourage all youth to remain in Christ throughout their life’s journey.

Meetings

The Youth Commission meets the first Thursday of the month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., September through June, in the Religious Ed. office.

As the Youth Commission we want to empower young people to live as Disciples of Christ in our world today, drawing them to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community and to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each individual.

The commission organizes and sponsors at least one event every year that will encompass all age groups as well as support other Youth Ministry/ Religious Education-sponsored events. In the past this included the High School AWAKEN, Middle School Holiness Revolution, Beautiful You Fashion Show with Teresa Tomeo and Men of Honor – Breaking the Bro Code with Popple. Besides the monthly commission meetings, your involvement could be assisting with our yearly event.

Consider joining the Youth Commission. We need you to help in supporting the spiritual and personal growth of our young disciples at Holy Family!
