Greetings in Christ, all!

I’m typing this shortly after praying Mass with all our school kids for the first time this academic year. What a crazy beautiful blessing that we have in our school. Make sure to pray for them all over the next nine months.

You’ll hopefully notice that we have opened a new section in our bulletin: Volunteer Corner. Here we will list and define the many opportunities for you to help and support our parish mission. Please check back often as this will be updated weekly. I’m asking you to please take a look at this and consider some way you can help us serve you. It is getting more and more challenging to get volunteers these days and we could really use some help with this.

I’m so grateful for the volunteers in our parish…our garden and flowers are so well taken care of, our funerals have many people helping, and our Masses are filled with men, women and children giving of their time and talent. I think if you talk to any of them, they will tell you that volunteering is its own reward.

A good way to think of it is that a “healthy” parishioner prays for the Church, donates to the Church and volunteers at the Church.

I’m so grateful to all of you for letting me serve here. I thank God for you daily.
