Greetings in Christ!

Happy, Holy New Year to each person in our Parish Family. I pray that Jesus bless you with health, holiness and joy in this next year.

This last year, Jesus did extraordinary things in our parish and your love, prayer and generosity all are the reason that this happened. I pray you know how very grateful I am to be your priest and how much I thank the Lord that I get to be here with you.

This weekend at Mass we are offering everyone an Epiphany Kit. We’re very excited about this. With this kit, you and your family will be able to participate in the ancient custom of blessing your home for the new year in the name of the Wise Men who came to see Jesus. I urge each family to take a couple minutes to pray this joyful ritual together…I think you’ll enjoy it!

Speaking of enjoying…

Dad and I are leaving together on January 8th and returning on the 16th. I was invited to serve as a Sacramental Minister and Emcee for a Catholic Marriage Cruise. In exchange for that, they are paying for our trip and our time on the boat. I’ll be hearing confessions, praying Mass and introducing speakers when I’m not wandering about the boat and hopefully resting and reading. As a bonus, I’ll be able to offer my usual Quantum Catechesis episodes right from the ship! Dad and I will both miss you all very much and pray for you every day. Try to behave without me and pray for my nephew Casey who will be watching Marius while I’m gone!

I pray that Jesus bless you all…thank you for letting me be your priest.
