Greetings in Christ and Happy New Year!! Last weekend, we learned that over the last couple days most of the retired priests in our area have tested positive for Covid. We ask that you pray for these priests, that they will remain healthy.

We also ask for your patience: our entire region is dependent on these priests to help us with Mass coverage and, as a result, you may find at different parishes in our area, that when you show up for Mass, it’s a communion service. We obviously hope to avoid this, but it may be impossible to avoid.

This is also a reminder of the importance of wearing masks and sanitizing our hands as an act of love and charity for the community.

I would like to give a big thank you to the Knights of Columbus for their participation in leading the Consecration Prayer at Masses last weekend!

This year we invite you to join us in the tradition of “chalking the door” to celebrate the Epiphany. The Epiphany marks the arrival of the magi to the place where Jesus was born and the end of Christmas. We will be providing you with the prayer and blessed chalk to participate at your home as you leave Mass this weekend. Since the chalk is blessed, any unused portion should be buried to be disposed of properly.

In closing, please, please pray for our priests health and help us by being patient and understanding!
