Greetings in Christ, all! I’ve got to tell you, I’m really moved by you all!

For the last couple weeks, I’ve been trying really hard to pray and not worry about our renovation. As I wrote in the bulletin a couple weeks ago, we need everyone who can to help us out by fulfilling their pledges and, if they can, even to fulfill them early. I’m a world-class worrier and the fact that we are cutting it so close has been keeping me up at night. Over and over, as I fret, God has sent me some cool signs letting me know my job is to pray and stay out of His way.

This last week, when I walked into the office, I was greeted with news of your beautiful response…my Lord, I don’t even know what to say.

With all my heart, thank you for those who are rallying to our parish and sacrificing for this project. I am genuinely moved by you…with all my heart, thank you.

As I sit here typing this, I realize that one year from now, we will be in there, all together praying and worshipping our God in a new structure that exists because of your goodness and generosity. I know that a lot has been thrown at you…you’ve been told this is coming for some time and I promise you I am doing all I can to make sure that it happens.

With all my heart, thank you. Please keep it up. We need every penny we can get. We need everyone to continue to give as generously as they are able. If you made a pledge, I’m asking you to stay faithful to that.

If you haven’t made a pledge and are able, please give to our building fund.

A couple business things in regard to our coming construction:

The work of preparing the hall for Mass there is going really well. We’ve got the new ceiling tiles ordered and the sound system is coming together. We will have a dignified and nice place to pray while we await our new Church. One of the consequences of the necessary work in our hall is going to inconvenience us a bit: The Father Bush Parish Center will be closed July 22nd to August 26, which means we won’t have coffee and donuts after Mass during that time. 🙁

Beyond that, we are going to be asking for a lot of volunteer help moving out of our Church: people to help us move things and all sorts of details. We are also looking for volunteers to help with renovating the large hall (see below). The more that can help, the better. Please be sure to keep your eyes open for other upcoming opportunities in the bulletin.

Thank you for your generous and sacrificial giving…I’m so blessed to be your priest.
