Greetings in Christ, all!

One cool thing to start this off right away is that we are well into “wedding season.” Lots and lots of weddings this year; please pray for these wonderful couples.

One thing I love about Holy Family is how many of our newly married couples come and pray here. Often, once a priest celebrates a marriage, he won’t see the couple again until they need a baptism. At Holy Family, I am genuinely touched by how many couples we see after their wedding praying here with us on Sundays. It’s such a blessing.

It’s probably a good time to celebrate the fact that our church is just filled with families, young and old and everything in between! It’s a rare gift to worship in such a life-giving environment.

Next Saturday, one of our parishioners will be ordained a deacon. Andy Cocagne is an amazing guy, and I can’t wait to pray at the altar with him and work together. At the 10 am Mass this weekend, we will have a little ritual to send him off to Ordination. When you see him, please be sure to congratulate him and pray for him and his wonderful wife, Dr. Carole. He will be ordained next Saturday, and on Sunday will be here at Masses; he will preach at the 8 am and 12 noon and then we will host a light reception following the noon Mass on the terrace. Please join us.

Finally, we are in the midst of our DSA campaign. I know we just finished our Saints and Scholars campaign, and so it’s hard for me to bring this up. Heck, part of my preaching this weekend is about giving. I hope you trust me that I don’t ask for financial support lightly.

With that, if you are in a position to give to DSA, please consider doing so.

That’s what we got! Jesus bless you guys. I love being your priest!
