Greetings in Christ, all! Happy Easter to all!

Can you believe Memorial Day is at hand? As is our custom, we will be gathering for Mass on Memorial Day at 9 am in Evergreen Cemetery. On Memorial Day, if you look out the window and it’s raining at 8:30 am, know that we will be moving Mass to the Church.

Next weekend, Catholics all over the world will be celebrating the Feast of the Ascension. This is us drawing close to the end of the Easter Season and it will be the wrap up for our Homily Series on The Mass. Fr. Le and I hope you all have enjoyed these homilies and that Jesus is growing in each of us a greater knowledge of and love for the beauty of The Mass.

Beyond all that, we’ve got some noteworthy saints this week that we will be honoring: St. Philip Neri (Mon, May 26), St. Augustine of Canterbury (Tues, May 27), and Sat, May 31 is Visitation of Mary.

An update on my knee… My doctor wanted me to get an MRI, but my insurance won’t cover it unless I get an X-ray first. So, I got the X-ray and I’m waiting for the MRI. At this point, my doctor said my X-ray shows a lot of arthritis in the knee. She is assuming that at this point, I have a torn meniscus as well. I’m really sad about this; this knee has never been a problem for me, and I hate the thought of two bad knees! We’ll see what happens. The MSU football doc has done a bunch of procedures on my right knee and said he’ll do this one too. I’ll let you know.

Cool note: between our first communicants and our new converts, there are so many new people receiving communion; what an unbelievable joy. Make sure to pray for them and encourage them.

Quick note: I did a walk-through on our new building yesterday and I’m so excited!

Jesus bless you all, I can’t believe I get to be your priest.
