Greetings in Christ, all!

During our construction time, I will need to keep my bulletin articles relatively short so as to leave room for the Mass parts within our bulletin.

So, I’ll get right to two important pieces of information:

First of all, apparently, when we used the word “demolish” in describing what will happen to the walls of our church, it was misinterpreted by some and, as a result, there was distress.

Please note, absolutely nothing has changed from the plan we have had posted in the church for some months now. Obviously, the outer walls on the east end of the church will be demolished because we are making a wider, longer worship area, but the entirety of the building is not being destroyed.

The second piece of news is the priest convocation. As you may be aware, every year all the priests in the diocese come together for four days of education, rest and bonding. I have not been able to go in the last three years; something always comes up. So this year I am hoping I can make it. If all proceeds according to plan, your priests will be leaving on September 30 and returning on October 4.

Please pray for us during this time. The Lord absolutely needs us to be holy and times like this really help a lot.

So that’s it from here, please keep praying for our wonderful renovation project and thank you for your joyful spirit as we wait!

I am grateful to God and to you for the joy of being your priest.
