Greetings in Christ!
We continue our journey through Advent. This is a good moment to pause and refocus our hearts and minds on the upcoming celebration of His birth and to prepare ourselves for His second coming.
This week we celebrate two big occasions all in one.
This Thursday, December 12th, is the anniversary of the dedication of our new Church and it is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I’m so grateful to God for the gift of our Church and your generous hearts that made it possible. The fact that we got to dedicate it on such a wonderful feast only made it all the more amazing. Please consider coming and praying Mass here on Thursday at 8 am if you can.
It is hard to believe it was one year ago I shared with you that we scheduled the company that will reinstall our organ pipes in the nave of the church beginning January 2025. I am excited for us all to have organ music as part of our liturgy once again. We continue to strive to make sure that the place where we worship Jesus is worthy of Him: filled with beauty, light and love.
As we continue our journey with the Stewardship for Saints & Scholars campaign, I ask you to prayerfully consider making a five-year pledge to help us build the future of Holy Family. Your pledge will not only strengthen our school and its Catholic mission, but it will also allow us to reach our stretch goal of building a new garage and outreach center—critical spaces for serving our community. We need your help to reach this goal. Your generosity today will impact generations to come.
As we move toward Christmas may we challenge ourselves to be a light to all we come in contact with this Advent season.
May Jesus bless you all. I thank Him every day that I get to be your priest.
