Greetings in Christ. all! Blessed and Holy Lent to all.
This weekend we are continuing with our Lenten Series of homilies on the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. Last weekend, we looked at Concern and Care for the Poor. This weekend, we’ll focus on the following Spiritual Works of Mercy:
· Counsel the Doubtful
· Instruct the Ignorant
· Admonish the Sinner
Holy Deacon Dan and I will be preaching and we are excited about this topic.
I want to give you all an update on the work on the Organ Pipes. Some of you have asked about the progress being made and the key thing to remember here is that there are only a couple of companies in the country that can do this type of work. As a result, their schedules are very full and they are working at multiple sites doing multiple jobs, so we will see them come and go. They warned us of this when we signed the contract. Please keep these folks in your prayers and ask God to get this thing done ASAP!
The work on our new building to house Outreach and the Maintenance Garage is going great. We were not able to raise the money needed through our Saints and Scholars campaign, but some of you have donated to the construction of the building directly at the Church. We are so grateful for any help you all want to offer there. Thank you for your work and sacrifice in helping us care for the poor and those in need.
This Saturday, I will be heading to the Men’s Conference to give a talk. Please pray that I do a good job.
Let’s keep up the fight in our Lenten journey. This is just the beginning and it is never too late to “re-up” our commitment and give it our all.
