Greetings in Christ, all!

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday. I’m rather excited because this year my nephew and his wife are hosting it for the first time. They recently moved to Grand Blanc so Dad and I will head over there after Mass. Marius will be bouncing around with all the other dogs and I look forward to a time of family, gratitude and gravy-covered stuffing!

I want to take this moment to thank you all for letting me be a part of this Parish Community. I am so grateful. I am particularly grateful for your prayerfulness, your care for the poor and your commitment to our school. It turns out those things are most important to me too! I consider myself blessed beyond description that I get to be your priest. I love you all and pray that I serve you well.

Advent is coming, which means, of course, Christmas is coming. I want to give you a heads up on what will truly be a wild Christmas Schedule. The big challenge for us this year (and next!) is the day of Christmas.

Basically, starting on Friday, December 24th, and ending Sunday, December 26th, we need to get three separate feasts celebrated:

Friday, 4 pm until Saturday morning:

Christmas Eve

Saturday, December 25th, morning until Saturday, December 25th, at 4 pm:

Christmas Day

Saturday, December 25th, at 4 pm until Sunday, December 26th, at 4 pm:

Feast of the Holy Family

So, what does that mean? It means that a Catholic who seeks to be in good standing in the Church will make sure and get to Mass for:

· Christmas Eve and/or Christmas Day

· The Feast of the Holy Family

To this end, here is the Mass schedule we created. It was a lot of fun, but hard work to put together and we pray it serves you well.

I ask you to note this on your family calendar so that you can make a good plan. That way we can all pray together and celebrate the wonderful love of our God!

Blessed Thanksgiving. I am so grateful to God for all of you.
