Greetings in Christ, all! We have some amazing events and opportunities coming up and I’d love to get as many folks as possible in on these things, so let’s jump right in.

First, on election day, we are going to have the Blessed Sacrament exposed from 8 am Mass until 8 pm. Please consider taking some time to sit with our Lord and pray for our country. The most helpful thing would be if you could commit for a specific period of time and contact the parish to sign up for that slot. Church Law and common sense prevent us from ever leaving the Exposed Blessed Sacrament out unless at least one person is there to protect it. If you are able to commit to a half hour, an hour, or even more than an hour, please call the parish and book your time. Even if you don’t commit to any specific time or time frame, please, please come in and pray even for a couple of minutes.

On the 8th of this month, we are hosting Trivia Night! I love this event and really enjoy serving as emcee. Please make sure to check out our parish website to sign up to join a team or to make your own team. Lots of food, fun and competition make for a great night.

On the 9th of this month, we are going to have our Annual Fall Clean Up. This is where we really need some help.  We’ll have a list of projects to tackle to prep our grounds and buildings for winter. Please come and help!

Finally, you’ll see a schedule of Events to train people to serve at Mass as lectors, servers, ushers and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist. If you feel called, we’d love to fill our roster with many parishioners who help us honor God and pray well at our Sunday services. We tend to have a small roster of people who keep giving their time at Mass and I would love it if we expanded those ranks. If you are not sure about this or are nervous about volunteering in this way, please consider coming to training and listening. You might find it a bit easier than you thought.

I want to close by thanking those of you who have already pledged to the campaign. I’m hopeful that every family in our parish participates, no matter the amount pledged or donated. Let’s pray, sacrifice and pull this rope together!

If you wish to sign up for a pledge or donation to the campaign today, please scan the code at the end of this article, or visit

· On the website, if you look to the upper right, you’ll see the “Make a gift” button. Click it.
· Click on the appropriate gift and fill out the form.
· This is very important: Please make sure to choose our parish from the drop-down menu titled “Parish.”

Thanks so much for reading this and hopefully jumping into at least one of the events I listed. Thanks for letting me be your priest.
