Greetings in Christ, all!

I’m so happy to be back home.  The pilgrimage was wonderful and very life-giving, but I tend to miss you all when I am away.  I was gone for 12 days, ten of them on pilgrimage and the other two on
travel.  During the pilgrimage, I visited Athens, Corinth, Ephesus, Philippi, Thessalonica (Now called Thessaloniki) and Nafplion.  We visited places where St. Paul preached and in one case, where he baptized Lydia, the first European Christian.  I prayed mass in amazing places and visited ancient archeological sites.  I feel so terribly blessed to have been able to do this and I thank you with all my heart for your kindness about my leaving.  I very much struggle to allow myself to do things like this when I know that there are so few priests about; I hate the thought of not being there when you need a priest, but I also know that if I am not aggressively pursuing holiness, it is all for naught.  Thank you again for your encouragement regarding me going.

My knee did alright…I struggled the first few days with all the steps everywhere and so much climbing but in the end, I believe I am much, much better; my knee feels better than it has in years, praise God.

Next weekend, we are going to launch a Capital Campaign from the Diocese for Catholic Schools.  I will be at every Mass, making my case in asking for your support.  Please pray for all of this, I hate talking about money or asking for it, but this is something I believe very strongly in.

Don’t forget to check out our insert on St. Gerard; we have his first-class relic here in our church and that makes us so ridiculously blessed.  Fr. Le, the Deacons and I are always willing/happy to bless any woman who is expecting a child or desires to do so with that amazing relic.

Jesus bless you all, I’m so grateful to be your priest.
