Greetings in Christ!

This Monday is Labor Day and I will be celebrating Mass with any who come at 8:00 am as usual in the Church.

My Grandpa Krupp was in the Great Sit Down Strike here in Flint and I am so very proud of those brave men and women who stood up and fought for their human rights and dignity. We reap so many of the benefits of their sacrifice.

I think that this is a good week for all of us to honor those who provide for themselves, their family and society by their work. We are so blessed.

I have an update for you all on the front alcove areas of our Church. Our long wait is almost over for the installation of a reliquary and dedicated area for the Chaplet of Divine Mercy: The tiles are in from Italy!

As for installation, we are hoping for September or October. Once begun, it’ll take a couple weeks, but should add to the prayer experience of our Church in a lovely way, as well as adding some nice color to the front. All these things are only possible because of your sacrifice and prayer and I am so grateful.

Keep in mind, we will have 5 First Class Relics for any to see and venerate, asking for prayers and healing. We have St. Jude the Apostle, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Gerard Majella, St. Anthony of Padua, and St. Peregrine. I simply can’t wait.

I thank Jesus every day that I get to be your priest. You are an amazing family.
