Greetings in Christ, all!

Well, the long run of updates is over and I am so grateful for your life giving response. God is so faithful and your response to the blessings and challenges we have experienced and are preparing to face is such a joy for me. Thank you.

Lots of important things here in this week’s bulletin. If you would, please help me get word out on the following topics…

First, our 75th anniversary Mass is coming up! Bishop Albers established our Church on July 20th, 1946. On Tuesday, July 20th, we will celebrate our Birthday Mass or, more appropriately, our Anniversary Mass.  I would love it if everyone could make this their top priority for the evening.  We will pray Mass at 6 pm, followed by a picnic/reception right after. If you  would like to come to the picnic, please send an RSVP to holyfamily@hfgb.org so that we can get a count for the food. If at the last minute you decide to come or bring others, please don’t let the RSVP thing throw you.

Another piece of big news is that we have hired our new Business Manager. You may remember that right before the pandemic hit, we hired Kevin Neugent as our business manager. He intended to work for just a year, but stretched it out to a year and a half because we really needed that help. He is now officially retired and has handed the reins to our new Business Manager, Chuck Wright.

I’ll ask Chuck to write a little intro article so you can get to know him a bit. I will share with you one extremely important piece of information that supersedes all others: He is from Montrose. 🙂 Please give him a big ol’ welcome and a lot of prayers.

Finally, I wanted to let you know that I will be heading off for my yearly retreat/vacation. On July 25th I will leave after my last Mass and return the next week. This is a yearly thing for me right around this time. Fr. Geoff Rose and I use this time to pray, relax and read both important and unimportant things and it’s really a blessing. I am more worn down than usual this time of year and very much looking forward to this. Please keep me in your prayers and know that everyday I am so grateful to Jesus for letting me serve you. Dad will stay with my sister during this time and Marius will be staying with my nephew. Pray they both behave.

Thanks for reading this. Please share the word. I love you all with all the love Jesus gives me.
