Greetings in Christ, everyone!

I’m typing this on Wednesday morning. As you know, early this morning, a tornado hit our area very hard. Praise the Lord, there were no injuries or deaths that I am aware of.

This morning, Dad, Fr. Le and I traveled around and visited some of the local businesses and homes that our parishioners own to make sure everyone was all right. Let’s be sure to pray; we have families who were evacuated from their homes and we have small business owners who experienced a significant impact from this.

We pray that Jesus continues to keep us safe in his loving care and restore everything that was lost. It’s a great opportunity for us to pause and ask ourselves if we are grateful enough to God for our homes. It’s a blessing that is easy for us to take for granted.

This week the entire executive team at our parish will be traveling to a leadership immersive retreat. I don’t like all of us being away from you this long, but we really are working hard to develop strategies to ensure that we are leading as best we can, that we are working hard together as a team, and to be sure that our school and parish operate within the same heartbeat. All of these skills are vital and necessary to the reality we live. Please pray that we listen to the Lord’s voice and grow in wisdom.

In terms of our Mass and confessions schedule this week: Most daily Masses will be prayed as scheduled unless we are unable to secure a visiting or retired priest, which may mean we will have no option but to have a communion service. Additionally, confessions are canceled on Wednesday.

So, that’s it. We will be returning late Friday night. Please keep us and our efforts in your prayers. Every day I will be praying Mass and missing all of you.

I’m so grateful to Jesus that I get to be your priest.
