Greetings in Christ! Please forgive me for missing the bulletin deadline last week; I was struggling to keep up in what proved to be a wild one.

This weekend, after his last Mass, Fr. Le will be heading home to Fiji for a bit. He’s going there to help his Mom, as their family took a pretty big hit in the death of Fr. Le’s aunt. Please pray for him and pray for his family. We are all so blessed by Fr. Le; he left his family and the country he knows and loves in order to help us. I’ve lived with many priests and he is one of the finest I’ve ever been blessed to serve with.

I hate typing this, but I’ll need your mercy in a special way over the next few weeks. We’ve got priests coming in to help when they can, but I will be doing most of my work here, at St. Mark, and as a Dean alone (priest wise, other than that I’m never alone!).

This week we celebrate Veterans Day. This is the day that we remember all those living who are serving or have served our country in the armed forces. We are so grateful for those men and women who stepped up to protect us and defend our freedoms. May God bless each veteran reading this with love, healing and peace.

We are creeping up on Advent, can you believe it? We have a custom here of the lighting of the Advent Wreath. Basically, at the beginning of every Mass, we ask a family to come forward to light one or more of the candles on our wreath. The custom is to ask the new members of our Parish Family to volunteer for this. So, if you registered in the last year and would like to help, please call 810.694.4891 and we will get you all scheduled for this. Thanks so much for considering it!

Side note: If you enjoy praying here and want to be members of Holy Family, please register. Doing so helps us know who we are ministering to and helps you commit to a parish community. You can register by calling the same number above and they will walk you through the simple process.

God bless you all with a wonderful November!
