It appears as if Fall is here and no one can be happier about that than me! Fall is my favorite season by far…I love the temperatures, the beauty of it all, and I enjoy college football as well.

As a Catholic Church, it’s easy for us to get caught up in being less than we are called to be. It’s easy to substitute the offering of programs for actual ministry. We strive here to make sure that whatever we offer is quality; geared toward helping people to grow in holiness. In my opinion, there simply is no better way for us to grow in holiness than through a practical approach. You’re a mom? God will meet you there. You’re a dad? He’ll meet you there. Whatever your state in life, God is offering Himself to you and will show you how to be holy in it.

I type all this because I want to tell you about an extraordinary experience that we are offering to the women of our parish. Some of the women in our parish have been praying, researching and working diligently on creating a number of offerings to help guide each other in holiness, support and growth. They are hosting a get together  on Saturday, September 17th, in the St. Joseph Center from 9 -11 am to talk to us about what they’ve come up with and to hear from you.

At this get together, we’ll have food, fellowship and hear about the ways the women in our parish can experience community together and grow in holiness and faith. I’m asking every woman in our parish to consider coming to this event. I honestly can’t encourage you strongly enough to do so.

To the men in our congregation, please consider offering to do/cover whatever is necessary to allow the woman in your life to come.

So ladies, Let’s Gather Together. I can’t wait to see you there.
