Greetings in Christ!

Please forgive me for missing last week’s article; I’m struggling a bit to keep up…all is well in the Land of Holy Family.

I wanted to let you know that this year the Priest Convocation is September 25-28.

As a reminder, every year all the priests in the Diocese get together and have a few days of prayer, lectures and talks focusing on spiritual growth. We also have some nice social time in there as well. This year we’ll be gathering earlier than usual, but I’m looking forward to it.

Fr. Le and I will be attending (it’s mandatory ha ha) and both of us will be back in action on the 29th. We will pray for you all each day.

While we are gone, we will not have Mass or confessions, because all the priests will be away. Instead, our Holy Deacons will be offering Communion Services.

I will come back for our First Communion Meeting on Wednesday night, by the way. It’s only about an hour’s drive or so, so this is easy for me to do.

Beyond all that, please keep me in your prayers as I adapt to my new role of Dean. It’s a lot to do and think about, but I’m doing pretty well I think. So many of our priests are in need of love and prayers; keep praying for all of us.

It’s my hope to get some time to type a more extensive article about the new Deanery Structure and how I’m fulfilling my responsibilities and staying faithful to my Parish Ministries.

I’m just so grateful to Jesus for all of you. Thank you for letting me be your priest.
