Greetings in Christ, all!

This hot, hot summer will soon be transitioning into Fall and this fat, happy man can’t wait!

I want to thank you all so much for your love, support and patience both with the crisis in our Church and with my many, many limitations.

As I adjust to two new parishes and a school, I know I am missing a lot and I am grateful for the mercy and kindness so many of you have shown. My plate is quite full and somedays, I feel I can’t absorb any more information, so please keep me in your prayers. In the meantime, I am so terribly grateful for your many encouraging and supportive notes and emails…I do not deserve to be in two such wonderful, giving and kind Parish Families.

Please don’t forget that this Monday I’ll be leaving for the week to lead the Priest Convocation for the Priests of the Diocese of Marquette. It’s a six hour drive, but my Dad and brother are coming with me: they will get a vacation out of the deal!

Please pray that God go ahead of me and prepare the priests hearts and please pray that I am faithful and listen to the voice of Our Good Shepherd.

I wanted to take this time to promote the upcoming Alpha Program. The whole program is 12 weeks long, with a free meal at each session and a free retreat day. The goal of this program is to help us all to encounter and form a living relationship with Jesus Christ: Who is Jesus, why do I need to have faith, to pray, to read the Bible. I love this program and hope you check it out.

I also want to point out that we have an upcoming Welcome Weekend! This is run by a group of our parishioners who put the weekend on and offer testimonies showing how Jesus transforms our lives. The goal of this is to build communal relationships and help us draw closer to Jesus together. I’ve asked around about it and this is the quote given to me that touched me the most: one of the participants from a previous welcome weekend told me that they hope everyone who can goes because it changed their lives: “I’ve never been so loved in my whole life, not just by God but by other people at the parish.”

How can you say “no” to that?? Both of these are free and I am asking you to come.

God bless you all!
