My dear brothers & sisters in Christ,

It has been such a great joy to serve you these past 16 months. I have truly enjoyed my time here, and I am so grateful to the Lord for the many ways that He is at work in the hearts and lives of so many. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all the blessings received. I humbly ask your forgiveness for any faults of mine, and ask your prayers as I move into my new assignment. I will greatly miss this parish and will continue to keep you in my prayers. I have no doubt that the Lord wants not only to continue His great work here, but to multiply it abundantly! Continue to say, “yes” to Him!

I want to leave you with a quotation from Pope Benedict XVI that has been an incredible source of consolation and encouragement for me:

“If we let Christ into our lives, we lose nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing of what makes life free, beautiful and great. No! Only in this friendship are the doors of life opened wide. Only in this friendship is the great potential of human existence truly revealed. Only in this friendship do we experience beauty and liberation. And so, today, with great strength and great conviction, on the basis of long personal experience of life, I say to you, dear young people: Do not be afraid of Christ! He takes nothing away, and he gives you everything. When we give ourselves to him, we receive a hundredfold in return. Yes, open, open wide the doors to Christ – and you will find true life.”

God bless,
Fr. Dan
