Greetings in Christ, all!

Boy, I jumped right back into it here…lots of funerals, lots of meetings, all of it. I am very grateful for the break and realize I need to be more faithful to vacations/times away. I’m working on it.

There are a lot of things going on here in our parish and I’m very excited to share them with you. Over the next few weeks I’m going to try to find the time to type up some extensive reports for you all to give you a sense of where we are going, what our needs are, etc. Things are going so well at our parish and school right now. So many parishes are struggling with Mass attendance, but because you are sharing the joy of our faith, people are coming in great numbers and praying. What a blessing.

At Holy Family, we consider caring for those in need to be a central call of Christians. Because of your generosity, it would be hard to describe the significant work we are able to do to help people get on their feet. We call this ministry to those in need “Outreach.”

With that, we are excited to announce that Kathy Medich has joined our team as Outreach Director. Kathy has jumped in with both feet and is quickly getting up to speed in all aspects of the role. Welcome, Kathy!!

Brian Holyfield, who has led our Outreach since 2016, has made the tough decision that he can no longer lead these activities. On behalf of our Parish Family, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Brian for his dedication over the years to not only our Parish, but to the thousands of lives that have been positively impacted over that time – we have been so blessed.

In addition, we would like to take this time to thank our amazing group of volunteers that support Outreach. They do great work every day, and always go above and beyond to keep serving our parish and community – THANK YOU for all you do!!

I’m typing this on Wednesday and, at this point, we have not yet met Fr. Georges, but I am told he will be here soon. Fr. Georges is a priest who is going to serve at Holy Redeemer in Burton. We invited him to live here with Dad, Fr. Le and me so that he doesn’t have to live alone. It’s a short drive to Holy Redeemer, so this made sense to all involved. Please pray Jesus bless him in his time in our diocese.

God bless you all. I am so grateful to be a part of this family.
