A beautiful gift from the past: Recently I received a nice note from Fr. Jim Swiat. Along with his card was the original crucifix in Holy Family’s first Church—the little white hall—dating back to 1946. The crucifix shows the “wear” of its age, but is still precious. I am not sure where to put the crucifix yet. If you have any thoughts, please let me know.

Baptisms: Today (Dec. 20) I am heading to Ann Arbor to baptize a couple of babies. One couple, friends of mine for a long time, had tried to conceive for years and years, and finally their hopes were realized. So happy for them!

Dinner: This Tuesday, Dec. 22, Fr. Jon Perrotta is coming over for dinner. It will be great to be with him again.

KFC lunch: This Tuesday, the last day of school before the break, I am having a KFC lunch with our 8th graders. It’s always a joy to be in the school.

4th week of Advent: As we begin this last week of Advent, may you and your families be filled with joyful expectation of our Lord’s coming among us. We’ll have another bulletin for Christmas Day.
