Greetings in Christ! Words can’t begin to describe how incredibly lucky we are to have Fr. Le here as our priest. He has been a blessing to me and all of us in many, many ways. As you may know, Fr. Le comes from Fiji and recently the islands have been hit by three back-to-back cyclones.

This weekend Bishop Boyea has approved a special collection for those devastated. I ask that we help support their families and tens of thousands who are struggling from the loss of homes, crops and damages to various parishes, especially St. Martin de Porres on the island of Lakeba.

“The damages are like the flooding and destruction of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Many homes were blown away by the first cyclone, crops were damaged. The next two brought in so much rain that caused so many floods in places that had never been flooded before.”

Please PRAY for these people and if you are able to give at this time, you may donate on our website through Pushpay (click on the drop down and select “Fiji Emergency Collection”) or in the clear drop box in the church gathering space (please be sure “Fiji Collection” is on the memo).

I thank you in advance for this special collection and I am forever grateful to be your priest.
