Greetings in Christ, all!

This week our country celebrates the 4th of July holiday. It’s a great time for us to remember how blessed we are to live in relative freedom. We are free to worship, free to pray, free to let our faith challenge us to care for the poor and vulnerable…that makes us blessed.

I think it’s a good time to be grateful, I do. I worry about the direction of our country and where the mob is taking us and yet, with that, I know I need to focus more on being grateful and praying for those who put their very lives at risk every day in search of Freedom. Jesus, help us to be good citizens and use our freedoms well.

I’ve had a few people email me about an upcoming movie called “Sound of Freedom”. I’m told that it’s a Christian film about human trafficking and something that we may want to support. I’m afraid I do not know enough to give you a definitive “We should go see this!” but I can tell you that from what I’ve seen it looks like it will be a good movie. It comes from the same company that makes the show “The Chosen ”, which I simply can’t recommend enough. It will be showing in Grand Blanc at the Trillium theater this week and if you are looking for a good movie to see, this might be the one for you! Please note: It’s rated PG-13.

So, that’s what I’ve got for this week. Please know how grateful I am that I get to serve here; you all are a light in my life.
